Update 1.1.0 is here!
The first major update for the Steam Key Manager is here, primarily focusing on new functionality and some UI QoL changes!
The biggest changes include an prompt for selecting an export directory for the export file, also providing an auto generated export file name with a timestamp of the current day and month, automatic monthly backups of the JSON file containing the keys, and an extra step before exporting keys, giving an overview over the selected keys for exporting. Additionally, the UI was adjusted to allow for longer game names. I looked up what the longest name on Steam is, and it's from the Zone of the Enders franchise. If you find something longer, let me know!
Major additions:
- Exporting keys will now prompt the user to select an export directory for the export file.
- Up to 5 backups of the key file, found in the Backups folder. Backups occur monthly, and only if the Steam Key Manager is started.
- A new intermediary step has been added before being able to export keys, which shows selected games.
- Pressing TAB now switches between input fields.
Minor additions:
- If the price of the game is 0, it will be displayed as a dash ( "-" ) in the game list UI.
Improvements:
- Assorted new popups to go hand in hand with the new features.
- Updated UI, allows more space for longer game names.
- Popup UI now scales vertically depending on the amount of text in the description.
Small hint regarding backups: if you intend on restoring one, remove the date suffix from the backup, so that the key file is called "SteamKeys.json", or else the Steam Key Manager will not recognize it!
